The Grand Paris Corporation, a Grand Paris Express, was awarded a grant of EUR 31,2 million in June 2015 under the CEF for the period 2016-2020 for the Air Rail Rapid Interconnection System (ARMIS). The Grand Paris Express (GPE) project is a transport infrastructure project aiming at the construction of four new metro lines in Ile-de-France and creation of 68 stations at the same time.

GRTgaz contribution to the European Commission’s public consultation on its Connecting Europe Facility 2021-2027 proposal GRTgaz is a gas TSO operating more than 32 000 km of pipes in France. ASSESSMENT CEF’s overall envelope for energy has been increased to €8.7 billion. The new text contains some significant improvements: • The inclusion of 10% of funding dedicated to cross-border renewable energy projects has the potential to address barriers to important projects such as offshore wind hubs in the North and Baltic seas and renewable energy cooperation in Southeast Europe.

More resources towards comprehensive network The current proposal with 9 % of the CEF funds for the comprehensive network is being proposed as a small first step towards a more balanced allocation of CEF funds. A well-functioning comprehensive network is considered essential to ensure a smooth start and flow of resources on the core network, with reduced traffic congestion and pollution.
