With the implementation of the Healthier Together Initiative, the European Commission has rightfully placed emphasis on non-communicable diseases, earning widespread commendation. However, the initiative's scope is confined to four specific disease categories (diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurologic diseases), overlooking Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

After four years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is still a pressing need to strengthen Europe's public health (PH). For EU4Health to truly make health systems crisis-proof", it must approach workforce challenges systemically. Silos and short-term thinking pose a threat to population health, necessitating broader, holistic partnerships with stakeholders.
ISCA overall commends the value and relevance of the EU4Health programme 2021-2027 at the stage of interim evaluation. We applaud the efforts to focus on PREVENTION of disease and PROMOTION of healthy lifestyles, as required by the Objective a) of the EU regulation 2021/522.
The EU Structural Heart Disease (SHD) Coalition recognises that the EU4Health program, with its substantial 5.3 billion budget for the 2021-2027 period, stands out as unparalleled financial support from the EU in the health sector. EU4Health is effective in exchanging information between health stakeholders and European Commission. We recognise that EU4Health is delivering interesting communication tools and policy documents, but they mostly concern already researched and funded diseases.
This is much needed work and I think it would be useful to report on rates of cancers associated with diet/lifestyle: Head and neck cancers Lung cancers Bladder cancers Breast, ovarian and colorectal cancers This will inform policy makers if interventions are working, if there are pockets within the EU that require targetted health promotion and equally enable robust audit to see if interventions are working.
Born Free is a conservation and animal protection Charity. We appreciate this opportunity to provide feedback on the EU4Health programme which was adopted in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a network against poverty, we would like to point out something we have been calling for attention for years, namely the huge use of pesticides, of neonicotinoids, including the very dangerous glyphosate. People on low incomes cannot buy organic products and therefore rely on mass sprayed products and meat from the livestock industry. This has a huge impact on them and their children.

our comment is very positive because the psychological aspects of health are finally taken into account. We promote, for example, mesh work among patients and their caregivers, and we see that doctors and nurses are now also more receptive. This helps to make those who are ill better and even recover some of the European wool that has otherwise been abandoned as a special waste.

The program has certainly responded to the objectives of the programme WP, and the generating impact is certainly of a very good level. Perhaps some points could be more stressed: - serious pilot experiences in teleassistance, telemonitoring, teletutoring with regards to mental health, including digital psychology - pilot studies "evidence based" regarding experiences on daily-life management about fragile targets…
Method. Every quote is verbatim from the organization’s own submission to the European Commission, trimmed to its opening passage and never summarized by a model. Where a submission was filed in another EU language we show the English text the European Commission publishes alongside it, labeled on the quote; the original is one click away at the source. Groupings use the respondent type the organization itself selected when filing. We deliberately do not label anyone “supportive” or “opposed” — you read what they wrote and draw your own conclusion. Organizations only, never individuals. Reused under Commission Decision 2011/833/EU; the European Commission is not liable for this reuse.
