The AMIF and its absorption possibilities by Czech NGOs remained largely unchanged in the 2014-2020 reporting period. Most of its national challenges are addressed to components of state institutions and thus to implement a return policy.

The Red Cross EU Office (RCEU) represents the 27 National Red Cross Societies in the EU, the Icelandic Red Cross, the Norwegian Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
If the AMIF implementation in 2014-2020 is considered mostly effective by the IRC, some problems persist in term of efficiency. For the IRC's semi-independent living (SIL) accommodation on unaccompanied children (UAC) project, the funds are calculated on a unit costs basis, allowing for the implementing organization to get paid based on the occupancy of the apartments.
Given the clearly limited target group of the AMIF NP, the most important recommendation for the future period is ensuring complementarity to AMIF. It is proposed to strengthen coordination between AMIF and ESF so that important integration measures can also be covered by the ESF for EU citizens.

In 2011, Oxfam Italia become part of the reception system of the Tuscany Region to respond to the migratory flows toward Italy originating from the turmoil in North Africa. AMIF constituted one of the funding sources to support our work in the field, learn from other organizations in Europe and pilot innovative solutions to arising issues.
